December 18, 2022 - Concur with with not directly below mine. He actually captured perfectly where this wine is. I think the windows is closing maybe in another 3/4 years but it was fun to drink. I get way more secondary flavors of dried fruit cola and herbs. This one was fun to drink and I’m glad i have more.

October 16, 2019 - Powerful style but no loss of impact. Delicious with dark fruit, hints of game, musk, a note of cola, beef broth, sandalwood, various herbs (particularly thyme) some of the beginnings of sous bois/soil tones. This has 94 points potential in the coming years, I think. Such a powerful but high quality vintage style. A wine to drink with boeuf bourguignon at the moment as the wine is very much an embodiment of just that.

January 24, 2015 - Drank this in 2010 for the last time, then it had limited concentration and a bit rough, something I find in a lot of 1999's. Now this has opened. Red fruit cherry nose. Taste plum, fig and combination of black and red fruit, an earty tone and still some tannins. Drinks well, however limited complexity and length.

April 21, 2012 - Quite mature nose of red fruit, plum, spices and oak. Detracting notes of soy sauce and earth. Lacking freshness.
Medium body, quite dynamic tannins and some concentration. Harmonius, but way too evolved. Almost Portey and lacking fruit.

January 1, 2012 - Ruby with bricking. Cherry nose and red fruit. Dark cherry, vanilla, red fruit. and some spicy forest floor. Still drinking well and actually gaining complexity. Sorry that it's my last bottle. (164 views)
