Community Tasting Notes 3

January 15, 2021 - Bought several for 20/b from Sam's 16+ years ago (along with some '98, '99 for the same price). Semi-dry cork, crumbly down to bottom quarter, then solid and sealed. Decanted with normal sediment. Dark purple with hint of amber; some mature plum, redcurrant nose that follows on the palate; medium body, good mouthfeel; some persistence. Solid but on the verge, though no hurry. Good complement for Costco roast chicken. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement, then basement condo locker since purchase. My evaluation: For my non-points, 4-level rating scheme, see earlier posts. This is notable when considering quality, age, and price.

October 9, 2010 - Je recommande de le carafer un bon 3h pour qu'il s'ouvere pleinement.

October 2, 2010 - Very very impressive wine for the price. Amateurs are in love with this wine and Connaisseurs are stunt. Very impressive, drink now. At this piece it's a steal, period!
