June 15, 2019 - Hanging in there surprisingly well, presumably thanks to the ample acidity. Has picked up more savory, earthy, slightly furry funk over the years. Crunchy, tart, cran-raspberryish fruit, with some nice brightness left.

January 16, 2017 - Double-blind Tasting (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): Pale strawberry color. Tart, fresh, strawberries, raspberry leaf, sour cherry. Palate: tart, fresh, zesty, bright red fruit but fleshy texture, easy-drinking but dusty tannins frame it nicely. Tobacco, dusty earth, herbal tea, soup broth. I love this. Guess: Passetoutgrains Pinot/Gamay blend. I'd had this wine many times, so it jumped out because it's unique and fascinating.

July 28, 2013 - Sour red fruit, flowers, earth, a bit funky, quite expressive and delicious. This wine is going strong.

June 18, 2013 - Darker, deeper, and more textured than our previous bottles. Great lively sour dark cherry nose with vivid flowers and savory earth. The palate is juicy and filled with cool mixed berries, anise, and savory tomato. Finishing tart red berry acidity drives ending mushroom, rhubarb, and dried herbs. A great bottle, and again fantastic with roasted chicken and fresh beans. Drink or Hold.

May 12, 2013 - Another bottle, another good experience. Similar to the bottle I tasted in February, but I poured this for my parents and some friends during dinner. Everyone seemed to like the crispness of the wine, the earthy and animal flavors, and the everpresence of the acid. Overall, such a nice break from tannic, overextracted wines, this is so light and fresh, yet full of flavor.
