Community Tasting Notes 2

  • Lijmes Likes this wine: 85 points

April 17, 2013 - Powerful bouquet of cherry and plums, strong backbone of vanilla oak, layered with rich aroma of spices & cedar wood. Medium body with firm tannins, albeit light on the palate, with slight hotness on the tail-end . Slightly sweet throughout the palate, supple structure with an unrefined transition and a long finish.

  • Lijmes Does not like this wine: 82 points

August 25, 2012 - Dark centre with crimson rim. Clear garnet colour. Nose of plum, dark red fruits with primary aroma of spicy oak. Light on entry, medium weight on the palette, medium tannin with a full velvety mouthfeel. Slightly tannic, vegetal (forest undergrowth) finish. Leaves a short, slightly bitter aftertaste. Overall a decent wine, lacking in outstanding characteristics.
