July 18, 2015 - Day 1 at pop and pour you get prominent licorice notes and persistent tannins.
Day 2 the tannins are more in the background and a nice mint note emerges as well.
I would recommend a 24 hour slow ox decant. This wine will cellar for years yet.
Very nice QPR at $33. -

February 8, 2014 - Decanted for an hour and a half before the first glass was poured. Very dry on the tongue, the tannins are definitely noticeable. Has a hint of licorice to it and food brings out a spiciness in the aftertaste.

February 1, 2014 - I let this decant for 2 hours before trying. This smells of licorice and bing cherries and a very minor amount of vanilla. This has a little bite and dance on the tongue at first but it mellows. Very tannic to the tongue. May need to let decant for a bit if I try another.
