September 2, 2023 - Excellent bottle. Young, powerful, & requires decanting. Muscular aromas of tar, roses, dark dark cherry fruit. Substantial, dark fruited taste with proper acid & abundant tannin. Can be drunk now but likely better in another 4-5 years, or more. Better with food, owing to its youthful vigor. Paired very well with perfectly seared duck breast over polenta with lemon-tomato coulis.

May 22, 2022 - Seems a bit more complex in the nose, a bit fuller in fruit than last year. Happy with where it's headed. Prob will get some other vintages as available.

    April 18, 2022 - Great QPR

December 27, 2021 - Happy to increase to 91 - you get black cherries, dark chocolate, lots on menthol, raisins - also hints of tobacco and cedar - tannins and acidity are both medium - the wine has clearly developed well.

February 5, 2021 - 3 hour decant at cellar temp. Rich black cherry, black tar, menthol aromas. Acid/tannin dominate the palate - this will always be a food wine. Served with black truffle pork rib chop (chianti reduction) & roasted button mushrooms. Very nice with appropriately rich food. Likely good with beef stew as well. Needs another 4-5 years for acid/tannin to fully integrate but can be enjoyed now.
