May 1, 2015 - Much better after an hour or so. Medium bodied, nicely complex, kind of dusty and earthy. Good acidity. Nice with pasta.

December 1, 2012 - Ok look: This is a $14 bottle of Sangiovese. I had decent expectations as I'm a big fan of vino nobile, but I am blown away by this wine. Gotta decant for an hour, it opens up into a richness I've seen in few Brunellos. Convinced this is the steal of the year. An 09??? Crazy!

November 27, 2012 - dark violet color, earthy aromas, really smells of mesquite, dried cherries and ripe plums, traditional on the palate, shows flavors of cherry, leather, and cranberry with a strong mineral background, very clean and round, very alive and youthful, this drinks well now but could probably hold up for a while in the cellar as well, was alright with baked salmon
