Community Tasting Notes 1

August 9, 2012 - Nose of black pepper, which morphed into distinctive white pepper after a couple of hours. Understated flavors of hibiscus and stewed cranberry on the palate, excellent structure, and medium plus tannins. Medium finish of pluots. This mountain fruit Pinot Noir paired wonderfully with contemporary, French-influenced Vietnamese cuisine (particularly the Vietnamese cubes of tenderloin steak!). Absolutely no heat, in spite of the 14.9% ABV! 89-90
