March 27, 2011 - Past peak. Mainly amber in colour with some red near the core. Nose of dried tea leaves and very little fruit left on the palate. It went down the drain.

February 20, 2010 - This is certainly on the downhill but still nice. Paired well with Pizza.

December 29, 2009 - Consistant with previous notes. Dark purple. Cherry, a bit of bell peper. Cola in there as well, soft on the tannins. Initially a bit tart, but the acid fades away, leaving the cola and cherry on the palate. Shef thinks there might be some cinamon in there somewhere. Last bottle - just as well, as it probably is not getting better. Day 6 - Overall impression is muted. Aroma has changed to leathery and dusty. Flavors of sweet cherry with vanilla, mid is minerally, finishes sharp and green - fenugreek? Something good to be said about forgetting that there is wine in the decanter ...

August 11, 2009 - Deep ruby in colour, noticeable legs. Pronounced nose of sweet spice (oak?), sour cherries, black olives, and earth. Medium body, high acidity, high tannins. Lots of sour dark cherries, plum on palate. Drinking well. Very good.
