August 29, 2012 - A very interesting Riesling and one that seems to be following a new trend to ferment Riesling dry (instead of leaving a touch of sweetness behind). The fruit for this wine comes from the Fox Vineyard in Niagara. The nose is grapefruit and pear - that may not seem all that appealing, but it finds a way to lure you in. Palate has a real tart presence, mostly on the finish, peach goes front to middle then lemon zest takes over and carries through to the finish. Price: $21.95 - Rating: ****+
