June 30, 2021 - Medium bright & clear ruby red in color with minor clearing at the edges. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of blueberries, cherries & plums with overtones of floral notes of roses, earthy/dusty, forest floor, truffles, cocoa, spices, mint & hints of cedar & basalmic notes in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, rich, ripe red fruit flavors of cherries, cranberries & currants with dried herbs, minerals, spices & a hint of oak. Long lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but has the structure and fruit to continue with its development with further aging.

August 3, 2017 - Cherry, resin, violet, menthol. Full bodied and explosive on the palate. Bracing acidity, with plenty of ripe tannins that coat the tongue. Pretty dialed up at the moment. Not a waste to open -- just super intense. I might give this a couple of years and drink over the next 10. (92-94 pts).
