Community Tasting Notes 1

August 15, 2012 - Wednesday, again... (Dave's House): Popped and poured, served blind. On the nose, showing quite fresh notes of grapefruit, gooseberry and grass clippings. On the palate, like notes, with a long sweet finish. Quite a bit of residual sugar, so there was some discussion over alcohol levels, and the point to which this wine was fermented. Strong acid in this wine, however, overall, this seems a bit worked. I was headed to New Zealand on this, as was much of the group. A bit of a shocker to see that it was actually from Niagara. Decent showing, for sure.
