June 4, 2016 - Classic left-bank bordeaux in flavour. A real sensory delight. Fresh red plumb and spicy dark cherry on the front palate, with a dark savoury core of tobacco leaf, bay leaf, graphite and wet gravel. But it’s the back palate that really shines. The oak long forgotten, yielding to complex layers of smokey gamey goodness. The tannins fine and silky, the finish long. The wine still vibrant after 12 years. Tastes like it could easily go another decade.

April 23, 2016 - Seriously enjoyable wine. Still so fresh (I've cellared this meticulously since release). Vibrant dark crimson red Great fruit, beautifully brambly, tinge of ink and olives. Lovely. Seems like years left in it. (May I say I found no such "stewed" or "hot" characteristics in the wine as referred to in other notes - rather I found this surpringly tending to balanced and savoury for an Australian wine)

July 22, 2013 - Excellent Bordeaux blend from a hot climate in the Barossa Valley. Rich dark fruit, thick glycerine character with huge mouth coating texture. Some may say the fruit is a little stewed but it accompanied a moist roast pork really well. Plenty of sweetness but just enough acidity and tannins to carry a long finish. Wish we had more but alas no such luck.

January 28, 2008 - Really nice and terrific value for mine. Quite fruity on the nose with some refined tannins that weren't strong in the mouth. Some strong berry/plum/cherry flavours with a very long finish that actually reminded me of a coffee liqueur (although my wife didn't detect this flavour).
Seems to be drinking very well now and I don't sense a lot to be gained from further cellaring. I might go back and get a few more bottles of this one. -

January 7, 2008 - A bit hot, but drinkable. Definite anise-licorice and plum flavors. Not bad, but I'd probably not buy again.
