February 6, 2018 - Big powerful, robust with cherry, and red fruit great structure, string tannic backbone, and spicy, lingering finish

June 13, 2017 - Drank along side a 2009 Mazzocca reserve Spring VAlley. Decanted both for about 90 minutes. Gave a clear preference to the Mazzocca for dinner drinking, but a slight preference for the Old Ghost in drinking with cheese plate. The Mazzocca had more tannin and was less fruit forward than the Old Ghost. Both are about as good as they will get after decanting.

February 25, 2017 - I drank the 2011 last night and the 2010 tonight at a different dinner party. My memory would not differentiate the two wines. Excellent wine and the wine drinkers tonight really liked it as well. The fruit is so full and big, but not fruity. I have to get some more.

January 28, 2014 - Without a doubt a big zin - I can certainly understand why WS suggested a starting drink date of 2015, as I think this has probably improved since their tasting as the wine has integrated.
Dark purple in color, showing off plenty of old vine character.
I thoroughly enjoyed the first half-glass, but then had to work to finish the bottle with my wife. Big and brawny, this is a zin to drink in the winter, not a summer BBQ!
    Drink 2014/5-2018.
