Community Tasting Notes 1

August 21, 2012 - Medium lemon-green color with youthful jura-esque nose of intense aromas of smoky woody oak, nut, lees, with oxidative character. Still the apple and stone-fruit character of chardonnay is there unhidden but it took 3 days to sort things out. The palate is dry with not too oily round mouthfeel with high citrus-like acidity. More balanced to the wine type with medium body medium alcohol high acidity structure than roundness and mouthfeel. However, it is powerful yet elegant. Leaves the mouth fresh and dry wanting for more. WOW from magnum. Close to perfection.
