  October 14, 2021 - What a great find and QPR. At 10 years old this bottle is perfect. Nose of black fruit, spice, meats and Tabacco. Pallet of cured meat, minor funk, acid and more dark fruit. Wish I had more!

  November 4, 2018 - Dinner with Jane and Mitch at Iron Skillet on the north fork of Long Island wine country. Popped, then waited 60 minutes to drink. A little tang, that would fade. Smooth, but I didn't think this wine was anything special. One of the few times (if ever) I've been disappointed with a Quivet. We had half a bottle left.

  October 23, 2015 - Nose of tobacco, black pepper, foresty pine, tar, tart cherries, molasses, and brown sugar. On the palate bright mid range fruit full of tart sparkling tannin. More woodsy green. Full and thick in the mouth without any cloying quality. Finishes with well balanced acidity and lingering velvety fruit.
