March 4, 2023 - Twice in a week — couldn’t resist. Mineral, herbal, ripe orchard fruit. Could balance on the head of a pin.

February 27, 2023 - In phase delicious. So pure and harmonious — honey-dripped stone, peach, dried herbs, tangy acids. I might hold one bottle back out of curiosity but all systems are go right this instant.

August 10, 2021 - Stony, dried herbs, buoyant — if it’s off-dry it’s more dry than off. For my own personal preference a little RS wouldn’t do any harm here.

January 22, 2017 - Very nice Feinherb, half dry Riesling from Geil. Drier than most Feinherbs that I've had while living in Germany. Great with food! A 'buy again' wine for certain.

(Geil Bechtheimer Geyersberg Riesling Spätlese Feinherb) ($21.00) HARD-CORE LIST for this beauty. For it is a perfect dry Riesling, i.e., with 11g/l RS (about like Vilmart’s Grand Cellier) and basically you can’t possibly resist it; fennel sweated in butter, cool mutsu apples you ate from the cellar, underlying stones and ciabatta dough. Geils have some push-back from domestic customers – it isn’t dry enough. Idiots! It’s perfectly, beautifully dry enough. +
