May 22, 2021 - Watery rim. Very little sediment. Nose: Black pepper, black currant, fresh raw meat, wet slate, graphite. Grippy tannins. Medium plus acidity. Long finish.

November 26, 2020 - Decanted 2 1/2 hours. Light sediment, color was lighter than I expected and so was body. Acidity a touch high for me but perhaps another year or two will resolve that. Nice berry flavors, finish was short to medium. Not great QPR but this wine definitely has style, and is a very good expression of an upscale Rhone.

October 19, 2020 - I agree with the previous two or three reviews. Would add it's feminine in style. Drink.

August 3, 2020 - Still pretty dark, although there is a little bit of brick on the rim. Not a bad nose. Ripe black fruit, some earth, spice, cocoa, coffee. Much nicer than I expected. Soft, tannins gone, but enough acidity to give it a good structure. Spicy, quite rich and juicy. Ripe fruit again. Perhaps not as interesting as the nose, but can't complain. Decent length. Fair amount of sediment. Probably about peak now and it should stay that way for a couple of years yet. Not bad at all, and a nice, easy drink.

May 17, 2020 - I like Guigal’s Hermitages better than the CÔte-Rôties he is so famous for. We drank this 2007 over 3 days. Best and delicious on day 3 with a Paella. On day 1 still a bit sharp. I would recommend a long decant or some more years in the cellar.
