August 2, 2023 - Tasted after a 30 minute decant.
Dark ruby in colour with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of lovely mocha, liquorice & sweet black fruit. On the palate, full bodied, still fresh & tart, rich black fruit, blackberry, mocha, black liquorice, well integrated oak, high acidity, medium soft tannins with a long finish to spice, leather & tar.
For 15 years old, this wine has remarkable flavour & freshness. Absolutely excellent!
But sadly no longer available in our local market. -

April 10, 2020 - Aroma is earth, old French oak and rich dark fruit.
Colour is deep ruby with a hint of garnet.
Flavour is all of the aromas plus high acidity, medium soft tannins, tar and spice in the long finish.
This is excellent Italian wine!
