November 1, 2014 - Showing very well tonight. It's still packed with crisp fruit, and has also developed a bit of smokiness around the edges. There is a core of bright acidity, as well as a finishing dash of creaminess that adds breadth to what is a very linear, focused wine in every other respect. No rush to drink these up if you have a bunch. Lots of fun tonight though.

October 26, 2013 - An enjoyable wine -- light with slate minerality, freshness, and not too much sweetness, but lacking the tension and energy of Juffer-Sonnenuhr.

March 10, 2012 - Good petroleum nose, very complex actually. One of the best Lieser noses I have had. Correct sweetness for Spätlese, and very good acidity, again better than other Liesers which I have found too fruity (perhaps they just need more time than I thought?). Good length. The only criticism I have is that I found it to be just a tad hollow on the mid-palate.

July 2, 2010 - Not much petroleum in the nose. Good mouthfeel as always. Adequate sweetness and balancing acidity. Had it with sushi, and it was a good match.

October 26, 2008 - Shut down. Do not disturb. This needed to be left alone. It was balanced and integrated but showed nothing of what it has in store. Waste of a bottle.
