March 10, 2013 - Beautiful dark crimson hue, powerful aroma of spice, primarily of white pepper, laced with firm notes of plum, dark cherries & french oak. Further bouquet of bramble fruits (mainly cassis), smokey vanilla chocolate & a tinge of herbs at medium length. An exceptionally well-blended perfume that keeps morphing as it gets exposed to air in a big glass. Soft, light & slightly sweet on entry, remarkably smooth transition to a medium body with savoury light tannin. The wine seems to dance lightly on the palate yet coats the inside of the mouth beautifully. Slightly herbaceous ending that adds character to a long, even and pleasant finish. A wine that is well-balanced, delicious & well worth the price. Good to drink on it's own or for degustation.
