Community Tasting Notes 12

February 5, 2010 - I"m a bit surprised by the lower points attributed to this very good wine. I opened this after finishing a bottle of Argyle Reserve pinot noir, and this was the clear winner of the two. Not at all what I was expecting. Very balanced... nice presentation of fruit without being too forward... good finish. Still drinking very well, but probably won't hold on much longer.

April 10, 2009 - Took about a half hour or so for the initial funk to blow off. Once this occurred, aromas of cherry, smells a little heat and clove. Medium to full bodied, a long tannic finish. A little vanilla and smoke on the taste with red fruit also - raspberry. I would buy it again.

October 31, 2008 - Opened and served right away. Ruby red in colour, clear throughout. Nose of strawberries and raspberries with some underlying vegetal notes. Flavours of cranberry, raspberry and bitter red cherries. Medium to high acidity, medium bodied, low tannin. 20-30 second finish that added some spicy notes. Very good. Drink now and for another year or two.

July 24, 2008 - One of the best Pinot's I have ever tasted. Deep, but not too tanic. Herbal, but not barnyard.

December 17, 2007 - Smooth on the palate. I was worried that it was past its prime but it held up well.
