Community Tasting Notes 4

  • Chrisinroch Likes this wine:

January 19, 2020 - Active cellar since 2015 retail purchase.

I was struck, in a good way, by the bright acidity of this wine. It's just a nice fresh bright PN that stands out among so much big lush pinots.

My palate is pretty broad, but I tend to like things toward this end of the spectrum.

February 23, 2015 - I'm with DSP and Bear, I like this wine.*

This is on the south-side of light but not thin by any means. In fact it's thinness is either a benefit or a impairment as half a bottle has rapidly disappeared. Thank goodness for 12.6% abv! Cherry medley, plum, airy earth, some intriguing stoniness, a touch of spice, and generally lots of goodness. This would make a good souvenir.

    * Sorry number pushers, I only view tasting notes with a few words thrown in. Come on now, make an effort!

November 26, 2014 - Better than my last bottle. Light-bodied, silky, spicy.

December 13, 2013 - A very nice wine, although didn't seem very complex. Drank a bottle at Decarli Restaurant in Beaverton, OR for my birthday. Tasted of blackberry, with plum and prune accents. Probably not a wine that would be laid down for years, more one to drink in the next 2 or 3. And very drinkable right now, which I find unusual for a 3-year old wine - usually they have closed down in their adolescence.
