September 25, 2018 - The colour is the most striking element to this wine. Its an opaque darkness that lets not a scintilla of light in. The bottle is imposing and represents the colour very well.

On the nose, meaty sandalwood with almost no fruit. Smoked meats, like a french ham coated in seasonal herbs de provence.

Strong taste all the way through and very different from the nose. Juicy and fruity with red currants with luscious boysenberry and mulberry.

Light mouthfeel but so, so silky. Barely any tannin despite the super heavyweight nature of the wine.

Whilst i'm not a fan of Argentinian wines generally, this is delightful and has aged wonderfully. Years left in this so don't be too eager to drink, likely to go downhill from 2022.
