August 8, 2009 - Cherries, vanilla, a little tar on the nose. Hint of blueberries and cream, to me, on the palate. Peppery spice and soft tannins. I liked this quite a bit.

March 11, 2008 - Quite good. Bouquet was all blackberry at first, and then became more muted. Really big, sweet fruit on the attack. On the mid palate there is an attractive peppery quality accompanied by mouthwatering acidity. Tannins are there in the background and the finish is long and layered. Drinking beautifully now, if a bit fruity. Could be interesting down the road as the fruit retreats. I have seen this wine described as exuberant and agree.
