January 21, 2017 - Opened up uber fruit forward aromatically, then gradually mellowed.
Became meh over time... we drank it slowly.

September 28, 2014 - A lot of Wines at Tommy's Clambake (again) (Tommy K's.): Had this last year as well. Maybe a skosh better now. The nose is nice enough, kindof Rhone like but there is a rosemary/green olive streak that is not great. Much thinner on the palate. Drying tannins at the end. A bit of a green streak. This is a GSM blend.

December 7, 2013 - Delicious from the get go. Flowers, cherry, spices and pine on the nose. On the palate intense cherry and raspberry fruit, with lots of pepper, a myriad of spices and a bit of tar. A delicious young wine and should last.

September 15, 2013 - Lots of wines at Tommy's Clambake (Tommy's): This is a GSM blend (42-29-29). The nose is slightly green with some black raspberries. On the palate, the green dominates the fruit. Distracting. Some black raspberry fruit. Lots of tannins too. Perhaps it needs some time to come together.

December 15, 2012 - Brunch with Wine (Wasabi - Chicago, IL): This took some time to open up. At first it showed an austere bitter note. But with air, it found its stride. Fantastic aromas of ripe blueberries, strawberries. Very candied and fruity. Nice green basil, menthol, pine undertones along with caramel, maple syrup and touches of lightly roasted nuts. I kept coming back to the nose. It's extremely New World and flashy, but it's fun and delicious, yes, DELICIOUS to sniff. The palate is a bit chewy but more rustic than the nose. Still some nice bright sexy blue fruit, milk chocolate, candied fig and a touch of anise. Nice long finish. An excellent wine. New World Grenache at a very nice price. This is a limited production wine but it's worth seeking out.
