January 13, 2017 - Very interesting. Nose is muted earthiness with just a hint of ... hot tar? And then you sip it, and it unloads with richness. Just really gorgeous mouthfeel. (And yeah, some schmutz.) Kinda bummed I only have the one bottle. If you've got one, now's not a bad time to drink it, but it'll probably hold a while longer.

July 9, 2014 - Not as good as previously bottle. Was loaded with sediment. Had to put through a finer. After about an hour it started to come around.

January 27, 2014 - Dark and thick, the bottle had lots of thick chewy sediment. tart cherries, blackberries and blueberry compote on the nose. The wine is nearly black but doesn't feel that heavy on the tongue due to the wines great acidity. Highly recommended with food it on its own. I opened it way to early.....

January 14, 2014 - I have, occasionally, had buyer's remorse with Wellington's wines in the past. Not this time!

Extremely dark, opaque purple. Reserved nose with some herb ... akin to a RRV Zin. Rich, thick mouthfeel. Teeth and tongue coating. Berry pie and bramble.

Has at least another 5-7 years in it.

November 6, 2013 - Reserved nose. A surprise in the mouth: Straightforward but not fruit-forward... un-Californian. Earthiness, minerality, acidity. Good balance here. Not a huge frame of reference as this is a fairly newer grape to me, possibly have encountered it in Languedoc wines. Nice.
