October 21, 2017 - Nez forestier sur le champignon, la terre, le tabac et un peu de cerise
Le bouche se fait plus discrète, en finesse mais belle structure
Il souffre un peu de la comparaison avec les vins plus puissant avant lui.

November 18, 2010 - Amazing nose - Honeycomb, hazelnut with a hint of tobacco nose
Contrasting with a red cherry taste. Very long. the contrats in taste was surprising. Was in perfect state after 21 years in bottle.

November 18, 2010 - a heavy, fatty, smokey nose, which could easily lead you to the rhone in a blind tasting (i'm an expert in this); and a big bumbling, weighty mouth, young in feel but with some orange peely age. interesting, fun

June 20, 2004 - Classic Rousseau nose very ethereal but looking a little tired. Secondary characters starting to dominate (Prematurely developed?). Mushrooms and earth with a hint of youthful dry red fruits. The palate is good but not great, seems to lack a little concentration. A slight (rare!) disappointment from this producer. A nice wine but not one of the better Ruchottes and certainly not one to keep any longer.
