March 4, 2023 - Decanted for one hour. Nose of black raspberry, currant, licorice, mocha, spice and crushed rock. Black raspberry cream, mocha, spice and crushed rock on the palate. A very long finish with waves of flavor and excellent depth. Full bodied and dense. Served with grilled strip steak and bordelaise sauce.

December 25, 2019 - Decanted for one hour. Beautiful nose of violets, black cherry, black raspberry, red currant, milk chocolate, vanilla and dried herbs. Red fruit, milk chocolate, coffee, spice and very fine tannins on the palate. Outstanding purity and depth on the very long, layered finish. Elegantly balanced. Medium to full bodied. A gorgeous wine. Served with roast beef.

December 24, 2018 - All you want in a elite cab from Napa that has power and finesse! Blue fruits are prominent on the nose with a hint of wild flowers. The tannins are still medium but supple. Three layers to the taste profile: blueberry and blackberry initially, flint and graphite mid-palate and licorice to end the journey. A standout.

November 26, 2016 - Aerated with a Vinturi and decanted for two hours. Fragrant nose of black cherry, blackberry, currant, violets, mocha and crushed granite. Blackberry, blueberry, semi-sweet chocolate, violet and stone on the palate. Full bodied with a rich texture. Leads to a very long finish. Served with grilled strip steaks with béarnaise sauce.

September 26, 2015 - I still love this wine! Incredible nose and such depth and power of flavors. Just a stunning example of why To Kalon is so special.
