January 15, 2016 - I attended a wine tasting for Syrah and I brought my vintage bottle of 2002 BR Cohn Syrah that I got on my visit to the winery in 2003 for the group. We decanted it for 2 hours and it was still a great wine. At the nose you note an earthy, fruity, creamy oak cherry. On the palate you initially experience a fruity, creamy oaky taste with smooth tannins at the end. Amazed this is still a good wine. Drink it if you got it!!

January 10, 2010 - Decanted for 2 hours, very earthy nose with nice complex flavors on the finish. Drink it soon if you have some!

November 15, 2009 - Popped and poured! Very nice Syrah...great fruit on the nose. Smooth tannins, great finish, drinking nicely at this time.

November 1, 2008 - This wine is huge. If you were lucky enough to get this while B.R. Cohn produced it, know that it will age a few more years. It is still just as huge and oaky as when you tasted it in 2003/04 in Sonoma. Big dark fruit, cinnamon truffle hiding in the corner but very tight. Lingers on with a peppery hot finish. High alcohol. Good syrah overall.
