October 7, 2012 - Reminded me of Rioja, especially the amount of American oak vanilla on the nose, though the palate is definitely rougher and more rustic than a Reserva or Gran Reserva. PnP on this bottle, maybe a splash decant can mellow the oak and harsh finish. Not bad, but feel like it under-delivers at $14.99. WK B-.
