October 26, 2013 - Had with the 5 spiced rib recipe on Darms Lane's website. This was a great wine. Took a couple hours to open up and kept getting better all night. Big, powerful, and young. It held up to the smoke and spice of the ribs very well. If you're going to enjoy this young give it a few hours to decant.

May 22, 2013 - Vintage Select Industry Tasting (Vintage Select Warehouse, Houston, TX): Nose of cassis, blackberry, and cherry. On the palate, rich with black currant and sour cherry flavors. Nice long finish. Lots of promise here.
