August 23, 2023 - I served this at a Blind tasting. It showed extremely well, lots of tobacco, red, cherry, pie, leather, dark chocolate. Medium in Tannins still, could use a two hour decant. Beautiful acidity. Long finish. The entire group really enjoyed it.

January 14, 2023 - Even after 17 years in the bottle it needed a 4 hour decant but it’s was worth it. This wine is in its prime! Powerful but elegant.

Definitely showing it’s age in the glass. Brick colored with a brown rim. Smells of dried cherry, leather, cedar, dried violet, and wet earth.

High acid and powerful, grippy tannins. A long and complex finish. This is an awesome bottle of wine!

May 29, 2021 - I bought this brunello to see if this producer and winery had a wine that fit my taste profile.
The wine was blood red at the center and deep garnet at the rim. There was a slight sediment observed, was in good condition and the viscosity was high.
The wine was of medium intensity and the aromas were of plum ,black cherry ,anise, and forest floor. There was a hint of cigar box, thyme and moss.
On the palete I observed med to high tannins with medium acid and alcohol. The wine was well balanced with smooth velvety tannins. The tannins were not chunky or bitter. The wine was dry or off dry and I tasted plum, cocoa, anise, and black cherry. The wine had a long finish and was complex and evolving.
It was a pleasure to taste and I will be procuring more from this producer and winery. This vintage is drink now but I believe it will continue to age well for the next year or two. It pairs well with rich fatty food.

May 15, 2021 - At a great spot right now. Drink now or within two years. You’ll thank yourself that you did.
