August 4, 2023 - Really liked this. Light but pure, lovely floral nose

January 31, 2023 - Chassagne Ruchottes / Vosne-Romanée Grand Cru tasting (Groot-Ammers, Netherlands): Light and bright, nutty evolution, mild but present tannins, light body, fully mature, Asian spices, cool minerality, good length on the finish.

October 30, 2021 - Last of a case, needs a little time in the glass to open up, it’s mature and ready but with a good core of cherry fruit, good concentration for the vintage too, no signs of it falling over but I’m happy to have drank this case now and enjoyed almost every bottle

September 23, 2021 - color is orange ruby and lots of tertiary flavor. This bottle is not suitable for further aging. Good intensity, but simple and M- finish. Overall a good village wine.

March 26, 2020 - This is my second bottle of 2004 Rene Engel Vosne Romanee this month, and just as lovely as the first bottle, no greenness of a typical 2004, though this still doesn’t justify its current market price. Tasted blind – Delicate sweet red berries and spices. Great elegance and soft backbone, drinking really well and showing some mature flavours. 2001/2002? (87/100)
