  December 7, 2009 - Nose of black fruit and a smoky, peat-like element. All cab all the time taste with a bit of black licorice and menthol. Straight-forward but not in a bad way.

  June 21, 2008 - Interesting wine. Light bodied but good color. On the nose: some menthol, wet wood, a little smoke, not much fruit and not oaky. On the palate: light to medium mouthfeel, upfront tannins which fade quickly, lots of smokey bacon and spice. Finish is medium length and spicy. If I had this blind I would guess syrah, not cab.

  April 24, 2004 - Tasted at McCarthy & Schiering. This has an alluring nose of black-licorice candy with some cassis. On the palate this is medium weight, a nicely balanced quaffer, with some toast showing. A pleasant albeit simple Napa Cabernet.
