Community Tasting Notes 5

May 31, 2020 - On the edge to get judged “flawed”. Straw yellow, nose of very ripe yellow apple, same on the palate. No acidity left, no “butter” to show. No complexity and surely no future to this bottle. NR (not fair to rate this)

November 1, 2019 - Bit shy nose at PnP but opened after a short while. Notes of citrus and mango. Nice viscosity. Nice acidity and minerality. I would say it is mature and drinkable now, but probably also hold longer. 90-92P

August 18, 2015 - Light, greenish-yellow. Lively and luvly perfume of vanilla and oak. Smooth, elegant on the palate with a fairly long finish. Pleased as punch to have two more bottles in the cellar and we think will lay down for a few more years. Chassagne-Montrachet at its best!

May 3, 2014 - A little shy at first with a faint whiff of white flowers. Then some white and yellow peach notes come to the fore. It is rich but has good tension and has excellent underlying minerality. It is a wine of decent volume and terrific length.

October 1, 2013 - Gently oaky on the nose showing some pleasant wood spice. Lovely ripe orchard fruits with terrific underlying minerality. Good volume and depth and a crisp floral infused finish.
