July 28, 2023 - This was a delicious pairing with grilled herbed cod and salad niçoise on a gorgeous Friday night at the cottage. Phillipe is the son of Marc Colin, a top Chassagne producer. Les Chaumees is on the northern hillside above Chassagne, toward St-Aubin. It's rich and elegant with lots of peach and apple, and a touch of honey on the palate. While it was in very good shape (thankfully) I'm pretty confident there isn't much benefit to be had by additional aging at this point.

October 26, 2017 - Fascinating to compare this vintage to the 14/15 duo. Here we have a wine made before the Producer's plan to improve the viticulture and winery was implemented.
The difference really shows, this wine is pretty much your standard low-end CM 1er Cru offering, and the leap in quality with these improvements is very dramatic indeed!!!
A pleasant enough wine with no real faults, but there are better values out there for the money.

April 29, 2017 - Great example of moderately priced Premier Cru Chassagne Montrachet with a bit of bottle age. Shy aromas on the nose, however shows a great example of sliced white mushrooms which was fun to experience. On the palette, nothing mind blowing, but delicious and enjoyable. Drink now, do not decant.

October 6, 2016 - Its big and hazenutty, not premoxed but certainly has the hazelnut off the cork pull.

September 19, 2015 - Average. Good acidity. Peach overtones. Bought it because it was on sale at USD55. Would not probably buy again, although there was nothing wrong. Was just hoping for more. Maybe I should have cellared it a bit longer.
