December 24, 2013 - Drank over 5 days.
Color: Dark amber.
A bit oxidized nose with notes of yellow and brown raisins, burned sugar, butterscotch, overripe red apples. At first a bit discrete but opens up a lot day after day.
Fresh and lively on the palate. The sweetness is balanced by a very hugh acidity. Oily texture with notes of green apples, caramelized nuts, raisins, chocolate, light roasted coffee and dried orange. It finishes quite dry with complex aromas of red apples, butterscotch, nuts and raisins. The finish is lingering and absolutely delightful.
Overall a good Madeira with good balance and complexity. This has a long and promising future. Drinking good today but will gain so much harmony and more interesting aromas with aging.
Due to my lack of experience of madiera wines i choose not to rate it but I find this effort very tasty and I'd definitely recommend it! -

December 23, 2013 - Doftar gula russin, apelsinzest, karamelliserat, dammiga fat (typ sandelträ får jag för mig), lite spritigt parfymerat med blommiga inslag. Precis samma intryck i munnen. Sött (utan att vara toksött) med en frisk apelsinsyra.
Riktigt bra! Nyanserat, elegant och friskt med lång eftersmak. Rätt ungdomligt trots de 13 år som gått sedan skörd. Utan att ha någon erfarenhet av mogen Madeira vågar jag ändå påstå att detta lär kunna åldras länge. 90+
