Community Tasting Notes 8

    October 6, 2020 - Tasted over 2 hrs
    -nearly opaque purple red
-nicely complex faintly floral perfumed grenache spice wet stone white pepper
-med/med+ acidity, med weight zippy licorice faded dark berry, tar and med tannins
-aromatics are quite good though probably a bit past its prime

    May 27, 2018 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
-opaque dark red purple no bricking
-moderately expressive ripe dark fruit berry bordering on jammy licorice iodine
-med acidity, med+ weight fading but rich dark fruits with a faint medicinal bitter note on finish with med- tannins
-on the ripe and dark end of the spectrum, probably on the slow decline as I don’t anticipate additional complexity will outweigh the heat becoming more prominent as the fruit fades further

    November 22, 2017 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs
    -opaque dark red no bricking
    -juicy kirsch plum slight medicinal
-med/med+ acidity, middle weight, bright red and black fruits vinyl licorice garrigue, trace heat med/med+ tannins average finish
-drinking well now and likely has a few more good years, tannins have some room to evolve but may be too hot or off-balance when the fruit fades much more

October 15, 2015 - Haven't drunk this one for a while, but still very pleasurable. Aging nicely.
