Community Tasting Notes 3

February 22, 2015 - So a very nice Northern Rhone nose. Olives and stems, meaty, and hints of bacon. Not as much fruit on the nose as a previous bottle. Perhaps a bit of blueberry underneath. The fruit comes to fore on taste but with saline hints and a bit of acidity to give a fruit oriented flavor on the palate but a nice saline finish with very good length. Impressive for a simple Rhone Syrah. Tannins are fine but still a bit strong so a bit of age needed.

December 2, 2013 - Still needs a bit of time... but very nice after a couple of hours.

October 27, 2013 - Cheap Northern Rhone roundup (~$20): From fruit from younger vines in the Cornas AOC as well as from outside it. Bleh. Very ripe and with a distracting lactic note. Not impressive.
