February 11, 2021 - Hard to believe but still drinking nicely.
The smell of walking thru the vineyard on the nose.
A bit of greenery, dirt and salt air.
    No bricking
Bright Spicy version of the varietal.
Very short yet clean finish indicative of being on the tail end of a long life.
Drink up but still worth enjoying.

August 29, 2009 - What can you expect from a '98 cab? Very little fruit but still a nice wine

September 15, 2006 - Nice bricking around the edges, medium to dark garnet in color, on the nose tobacco, ripe plum & spices. Medium to full bodied wine, decent texture, mouthcoating, green bell pepper seemed to dominate the mid palate with a hint of olive. The finish was tannic and a tad acidic but finally finished with some fruit of black mission figs & spices. Interesting wine...drink up!

December 16, 2005 - Notes of fruit, oak and tobacco, but not as vibrant as it had been, and overpowered by the Rudd 2000 :( Drank at dinner w/ Jackie Bryks, Jen and Tash, with roast lamb et al. Still good -- but won't make it to 2010 (per Parker's notes).

October 18, 2005 - This wine showed well, with good notes of fruit, tobacco, tar and some light oak on the finish
