Community Tasting Notes 5

November 26, 2020 - A lovely remembrance of the late Fritz Hasselbach. spicy red slate red grapefruit and other citrus aromas and flavors. Medium light on the palate and off-dry (despite 11.5% stated alcohol) with finesse and calm. Cellared since original release.

August 11, 2014 - A nose that really grabs you - sweet pink grapefruit, lime, elderflower, subtle hint of rosewater. Palate also has the grapefruit note, but a rich fruit to it along with other delicate citrus fruits. Petrol notes just starting to show. A tasty little number, but it's still young. A few more years in bottle will do this wonders.

September 27, 2013 - Nice break from Mosel style. Still some tasty RS to balance a spicy dish, but drier style (in the mouth, and an alcohol level of 11.5%). Tons of minerality and high acidity. Very nice. Impressive QPV.

April 17, 2013 - Aroma of Turkey pastrami.
    No legs, low alcohol.
    Sweet.

February 26, 2013 - In the nose gooseberry and a nice freshness, probably carried by acidity. On the palate, moderate sweetness, fruity with a nice acidity. Decent.
