March 16, 2024 - So young still. Incredible density, power and finesse, but still needs like 20 years. Crazy!

November 11, 2020 - This is quite spectacular. Both an alluring aroma and complexity — unfortunately all too rare in a burgundy. This is a sensuous bottle. Soft plummy aromas lead to supple but intense flavors of plum, strawberry, and smoke that flutters across the palate. The finish is nearly endless, just tailing off into a saturated candied anise. My last bottle. What a shame.

January 11, 2020 - This needs a vigorous decant and 20 minutes to open up. After that, wow. Aroma and taste. So different from just a couple of years ago. Supple and lush, it is effusive with black cherries and strawberries with a hint of vanilla cream. Great length with a never ending finish. A classic burgundy. Drink or hold.

    October 18, 2019 - Acker 2019/10 (Bouley): Orange-like sweetness, almost too sweet. 91

September 20, 2019 - Another lost Friday afternoon gathering – 96 Dom, 08 Cristal and a Rudy blend (Blacksalt, Washington DC): This bottle was stood up at home for a couple of days. It is completely opaque and totally shaken. Very muted but impressive concentration. Need to check another bottle soon.
