August 16, 2023 - I like the note by Nostrabacchus below. Excellent mouthfilling. Tannin still a bit strong. Lovely drink, will get better.

September 24, 2021 - Decanted for an hour and last glass was the best, 2 hours later. That said still not ready, tight drinking it but nose is opening up a bit. Some barnyard hanging for a half hour but then completely gone. I think I’ll wait for a few more years. Some of these 2010 needs some time.

January 28, 2020 - Got better over 2 hours. Needs time, it's pretty austere and masculine at this point. Think this will be good but too early as of now - maybe I'll try to decant for a few hours next time. Day 3 pretty much the same.

June 9, 2019 - This is pretty open now and the beginning of its drinking window. Notes of dark cherries, graphite, some underwood, a touch of musky notes too, sweet spices, also some flowery notes, smoke. It‘s medium-full bodied, has pretty high acidity and medium tannin that is present but very good quality. Very good length. A very nice Chaignots and while the house-style is on the more extracted side of things, it works here. Especially in a more classic vintage like this.
