July 7, 2011 - big fruit but overly tannic. i agree with jeff that the tannins too outweigh the fruit at this stage for this wine to ever come into real balance.

January 22, 2009 - perfect - the right time to drink this great wine. In the same evening we drank a le dix (chile) 2003 and a chateau pavie (97). This Barolo (the last to be open) was the best.

March 10, 2005 - Medium-dark ruby colour. Aromas of cherry, earth, plums, leather, grilled meat. Medium-full bodied with replays from nose that are joined by tobacco. Moderate finish, 30s, with cherry and earth.

March 21, 2002 - Enjoyed in celebration of Erik's birthday with his family and our friends. Purchased at Campo de' Fiori during our family's December '01 visit to Italy to visit Patrick.
This wine was great. Nice finish. Enjoyed with venison.
