October 17, 2013 - an integrated, yet somewhat shy, nose of bright red fruits, tar, and flowers. nose carries to the mouth. good richness and minerals in the mouth. wood present. balanced acid. drying tannins on the finish. will revisit tomorrow.

December 10, 2012 - Initially quite lean and austere, smooth and well balanced but lacking in depth and flavor. One might mistake this for a light pinot except for the tannic bite on the finish. After 2-3 hours this fills out quite nicely, adding depth, complexity, and flavor. Not sure this is a great value at $25 but worth another look.
