  July 2, 2022 - Found this bottle hiding in storage. Popped it open, being fully prepared for it to be tired and well past its prime. Surprisingly, it's still vibrant and enjoyable. The dusty floral aromatics are still there, with a noticeable pyrazine accent I don't recall from when this was younger. Good levels of acidity have kept this bright and zippy, and the red fruit flavors remain just juicy enough, coupled with some dried fruit flavors that have developed over the decade in bottle. Pleasantly surprising.

  November 16, 2019 - Another wine that I purchased for its unusual grape varietal. I Agree with Oldwineinvest and ditto his tasting note. This wine is a bit rustic, but it’s slight sweetness makes it easy to drink.

  Color: Dark purple with light red edge
  Nose: Some initial bell peppers and vegetal aromas; red berries and
  cherries; black pepper
  Body/flavor: Medium body; fresh and dry berries; some sweetness and a
  little tarry
  Aftertaste: Short finish; vinous with some alcohol.

  October 10, 2016 - Last of 4 Btls. A bit more austere at this point in the sense that fruit has faded somewhat and alcohol is drying. Still this is supple, clean and easy to drink. Even so this is over the hill. Would be happy to drink in an updated vintage.
