December 1, 2012 - Darkest garnet. Full-bodied, and super-concentrated, cherry, plum, blackberry, and oak. Pleasant finish of graphite and pine needles. Should improve with a few years in the bottle, but is delicious right now. Surprisingly, elegant for such a high-octane wine (alcohol 15.5%). If you really enjoy delicate, nuanced red Burgundy, steer clear of this baby. On the other hand, if you enjoy, Pinot in the Belle Glos or Kosta Browne mold, buy a case. Still performing well three days after the bottle was opened; so, this wine should age gracefully for at least 5 years.
