May 13, 2012 - Meeting (of) the Parents; 5/12/2012-5/13/2012 (Cambridge, MA / Lincoln, RI): Nose: Tropical fruit, Sweet Honey and an odd Mineral/Stone note. Palate: Dense, but not as viscous as a Sauternes or Ice Wine. Palate: This was still very much a chardonnay (extra rich) with slight botytis notes. Pineapple, Apricot Jam and a bit of spice. Finish: Cuts a bit short due to the elevated acidity of the wine, but honeysuckle and grilled pineapple linger. A very neat wine, that may have only been produced in this one vintage. How much of this is still out there?
