February 4, 2013 - Great petroleum scented nose! On the palate its fairly dry, a little flat, short finish. Vague fruity notes mingling with what tastes like metallic undertones. The nose alone is worth the price of admission but the rest of it is just very so so so.

January 29, 2012 - Opened for a recipe. Light, clear, golden yellow color. Petrol, apples, flinty minerality, and lemon zest on the nose. Light body with tart, citrusy acidity. Bright and lively apples, lemons, and minerals on the palate. Fairly long finish with the lemon zest and tart apples lingering nicely. Thought this would be dead, but was surprised to find a very nice dry Riesling.

February 3, 2011 - Mineral, wet rock, floral and apple aspects in the bouquet. Crisp acidic feel on the palate with green apple. Finishes with a sour apple taste. ($8)

December 7, 2009 - Great wine. Great with Chinese

February 7, 2009 - At Mei-Ping & Trish's Chinese New Year Dinner, NYC, Chinatown. This wine is good on its own ... but it is just PERFECT with Cantonese Chinese food. It paired very well with food, and was especially perfect with the pork (salt-fried), lobster in sauce & chicken. The Chinese sauces, soy, salt and other flavors really bought out the secondary flavors in the wine. [But wouldn't go with Szechwan food or food that is too spicy]. Best-ever bottle ... wish we had brought more w/ us!
